It’s Black Friday, but you probably already know that from the barrage of emails filling up your inbox... Apologies for adding to them.
The shops will be full of discounted “luxury” items today. Things made far away, quickly, cheaply, then shipped halfway across the world. That doesn’t sound very luxurious to me.
The real luxury nowadays isn’t owning more stuff. It’s having more time. More space. More quiet. More boredom. It’s being offline long enough to actually think, and feeling free enough to make and create whatever you imagine. Distraction-free. That’s pretty rare.
That’s why our Black Friday deal is simple:

P.S. If you were planning on spending any of your hard-earned money this weekend, Small Business Saturday is tomorrow. The anti-Black Friday. So, shop small if you can afford to. Even a single order makes a real difference to a small business or maker like me. And Bezos doesn’t exactly need more cash in his pocket, does he?
